Last Saturday (05), Xiaomi confirmed its new operating system, MIUI 15. Based on Android 14, the new OS should arrive by the end of the year for devices of the Redmi and Poco brands, as well as for Xiaomi's own smartphones.
Although the Chinese manufacturer has not yet released many details, there are already many suspicions about the new features that MIUI 15 could bring.
Xiaomi confirms a new design for the interface and icons.
During the presentation, one of the details revealed by Xiaomi was that MIUI 15 will bring a major update in terms of design. And that goes for both the smartphone interface and the app icons.
But the goal is not only to improve the aesthetic aspect, but also the user experience. Although Xiaomi has not given any preview of what is to come, it has promised an optimized and more refined experience.
What other new features MIUI 15 may bring
As this is a major update that focuses on user experience, the new OS is very likely to deliver better performance to devices. Being based on Android 14, MIUI 15 should still inherit some of its structural, security and privacy features.
There are also rumors that some people have had access to the system code, and have pointed out that MIUI 15 should bring a major improvement to the clipboard, allowing you to transfer media files between apps more easily. The alleged code also revealed a new feature that would allow you to increase the sound volume by up to 200%. New apps are also rumored.
