According to reports, the second generation of the smartwatch should receive the same S9 processor upgrade that could also arrive for the Apple Watch Series line. More efficiency and better app and battery performance are some of the improvements that the S9 chip should bring. In addition, the new version should reduce weight and offer new color options.
Apple Watch Series 9
Speaking of the Apple Watch Series, rumors also point to an announcement about the line. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that Apple is planning to launch the Apple Watch Series 9. The new generation smartwatch is expected to offer improved performance thanks to an upgrade to the S-series chip cores.
Based on the A15 Bionic chip (used in the iPhone 13, iPhone 14 and other devices), the S9 chip should significantly improve the efficiency of the Apple Watch line, which could include the speed at which apps launch and even battery life.
