Is Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 5 almost indestructible? It looks like it is! Samsung's new folding smartphone was subjected to brutal resistance tests that almost destroyed several other models. However, the 5th generation of the Galaxy Z Fold "survived" with honors and only a few inevitable scratches.
If the Galaxy Z Fold 5 withstood this test, it will also withstand your daily life.
In its new folding book-type phone model, Samsung has incorporated a screen with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 technology and an aluminum armor. With these additions, the model promised a stronger screen and a more rigid and resistant phone. Well, he complied.
Known for doing brutal and extreme tests with different device models, YouTuber Zack Nelson (aka JerryRigEverything) chose the Galaxy Z Fold 5 for his next test. As you can see in the video, he subjects the device to sharp objects, sand, a flame and even tries to bend it in the opposite direction to its opening angle.
Although it suffered some expected scratches, the Fold 5 earned praise from the YouTuber for bravely resisting his attempts to fold it back. Other phones, such as the Google Pixel Fold and Motorola Razr+, have already succumbed to this phase of Nelson's testing.
It's not that we should forget about cases and protective films after purchasing a Galaxy Z Fold 5, but Samsung seems to be looking towards a future in which these accessories are no longer exactly essential.
