The PlayStation Portal will be an exclusive remote gaming device for the PlayStation 5 over Wi-Fi, which will require the two devices to be in the same house for it to work. The 8-inch LCD screen will have a 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second (60 fps) capability.

The company's official press release states.

PlayStation Portal is the perfect device for gamers living in the same house, where they have to share the living room TV or simply want to play PS5 games in another room. The PlayStation Portal will connect remotely to your PS5 via Wi-Fi, so you can quickly switch from playing games on the PS5 to the PlayStation Portal. PlayStation Portal can play compatible games installed on your PS5 console and use the Dualsense controller.

For better audio quality, PlayStation Portal will feature a headphone jack and PlayStation plans to release two wireless headsets capable of reducing game audio latency. The Pulse Elite will be aimed at more traditional gaming, while the Pulse Explore is geared towards the gaming experience.
