Apple has confirmed the date of its annual event! On September 12, the Apple Special Event is expected to make the expected official announcements of launches such as the iPhone 15 and the new Apple Watch. In addition, the company is expected to launch iOS 17, watchOS 10 and tvOS 17.
The date was confirmed by an invitation sent to journalists, influencers and analysts. And some say the colors on the invitation could preview the color options of the 15th generation iPhone.
What we can expect from Apple's event
Recently, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman shared information that this year's Apple event is expected to follow a similar format to the iPhone 14 launch. In other words, a pre-recorded video is expected to be shown online, which will be followed by a keynote speech from CEO Tim Cook. The Apple Special Event will be webcast starting at 2 p.m. (Brasilia time) on September 12.
As for the launches, the only certainty so far is the announcement of the iPhone 15 range, which should include the models: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro max (or iPhone 15 Ultra).
In addition, eight test versions of iOS 17, watchOS 10 and tvOS 17 have already been shipped to developers, creating the expectation that the final versions will also be among the announcements on the 12th. It is also rumored that Apple could announce the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Series 9, both with an upgrade to the S9 processor, which could also arrive for the Apple Watch Series line.
Another expectation revolves around the possible announcement of the new A17 Bionic processor for high-end iPhones, leaving the current A16 Bionic for Apple's more affordable lineup.
And speaking of which, the new iPhone SE 4 should not be announced at the September event. Rumors surrounding the new smartphone point to it having a similar design to the iPhone 14 and some features that we might see in the iPhone 15. However, if Apple follows the usual schedule for SE line releases, we shouldn't see the new SE 4 iPhones until 2024.
Other products that should not be present at this year's Special Event are the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro M3. According to information published by Gurman, the new computers could be announced at another event in October, something Apple has done before.

As BGR noted, invitations to previous Apple events have hinted at some of the new features that were to be announced. Usually, however, the hints or references were only to product wallpapers. But now, could the invitation be previewing the colors of the iPhone 15 range?
If the numerous rumors and leaks are true, yes! Just a few days ago, graphic designer Ian Zelbo leaked images of the new iPhone 15s on Twitter / X. And the colors are very similar to those we see in the invitation.
